Texas FCU completes outsourcing of ATM fleet to Dolphin Debit

April 13, 2017

Following the expiration of its contract with another ATM provider, Sabine Federal Credit Union of Orange, Texas, has outsourced ownership and operation of the fifth and final ATM in its fleet to Dolphin Debit.

Sabine FCI, a $180 million institution serving nearly 15,000 members in a three-county area, began working with Dolphin Debit in 2006, according to a press release.

The partners' initial arrangement involved a number of shared ATMs at Murphy USA gas stations. Dolphin Debit has an exclusive relationship with the chain in Texas and elsewhere.

Over the last decade, the FI has converted its ATMs to Dolphin Debit as circumstances allowed.

"All our ATMs are owned and serviced by Dolphin, and we have a lot fewer headaches now," Sabine FCU President and CEO Kenita Dougharty said in the release.

"Outsourcing our ATM management has freed up our staff's time to focus on member service."

"Sabine Federal Credit Union is similar to many of our credit union customers in that operational simplicity is very important to them," Dolphin Debit Co-founder Gary Walston said in the release. "For them, maintenance and other ATM issues are distractions, when they would much rather concentrate on keeping their members happy."
