TestLink signs deal to sell The Raminator anti-ramming device for ATMs
July 8, 2009
PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Ram raid attacks on ATMs across the world are being stopped by The Raminator — a tried and tested anti-ramming device that is now being distributed by TestLink.
According to a news release, The Raminator can withstand repeated ATM ram raid attacks from cars, SUVs, trucks, diggers and other construction or agricultural vehicles. The Raminator comprises a mounting plate that is designed to absorb the force of sustained attacks — preventing the bolts that secure the ATM to the ground from shearing.
Independent ATM remanufacturer TestLink Services Ltd. has signed a deal with Lockit Systems, the creator of The Raminator, to fit the ATMs it sells with The Raminator.
The Raminator has been voted the Best Security Product by the Australia Security Industry Association Ltd.
In March 2009, The Raminator's success was highlighted by police at the ATM Industry Association's ATMs in Australia & New Zealand conference in Sydney.
"We see The Raminator as becoming the accepted ATM industry standard for anti-ramming security," said TestLink chairman Nick Beer. "It makes sense — it works."
TestLink says it also sees increasing demand for other ATM security solutions, such as ATM anti-skimming technology and ATM cassette locking bar systems.
