June 18, 2007
PUNE, India - Teradata, an enterprise data-warehousing provider and a division of NCR Corp., says it plans to open its second global consulting center in India.
According to a news release, the new center will be located in Pune, India, and will play a critical role in the company's overall planned growth in global consulting.
"We are experiencing substantial growth in Teradata's global professional services consulting," said David Klumb, vice president of Teradata's global professional services. "The consulting-center team in Pune follows the successful model of our center in Mumbai."
Klumb said NCR expects both facilities to grow as the company's global initiatives accelerate.
The Pune center's staff will specialize in data warehousing and business-intelligence software, and will offer expertise in end-to-end enterprise data-warehouse and business-intelligence implementation. The new center in Pune, like the center in Mumbai, also will serve customers throughout the Americas and parts of Asia-Pacific. The centers in India complement other consulting centers in China.
