Talaris celebrates one-year anniversary with two industry awards
November 10, 2009
Talaris, an expert in cash handling technology, exhibited at the 2009 Chinese International Financial Technology & Equipment Exhibition in Beijing and was once again honored with two industry awards at the event.
CIFTEE is China's largest financial technology exhibition and attracts attendees from Asia's largest banks and manufacturers of financial technology. Attendance figures this year were 120,000, compared to 110,000 in 2008.
During the conference, Talaris announced the opening of a new office in Shenzhen. The company also announced three volume agreements with key customers in China.
Talaris received recognition for its NMD 100e notes and media dispenser. Following on from the success of the NMD 100, an award winner at Ciftee 2007 and 2008, the NMD 100e was presented with the Innovative Product Award 2009.
The new dispenser is a tower configuration, friction feed multidenomination banknote dispenser that is fully modular to allow for flexible configuration from one to eight denominations. The NMD 100e offers best-in-class feed performance with brand new paper and polymer banknotes, with improved security for ATM replenishment. The NMD 100e has a new, open, higher capacity deposit box to increase up-time between cash replenishments and reduce overall servicing costs.
The two awards mark the close of the first year of business for Talaris, a former De La Rue business.
"I am very proud of everything we have achieved in our first year as Talaris," said Tracey Graham, Talaris' chief executive. "The worldwide demand for innovative Talaris technology and support services has in no way diminished and one of the reasons for this is that Talaris solutions are directly helping businesses optimize their performance through what has been a difficult financial period."
