Springfield, Missouri's largest CU opts for Arca cash recyclers
BluCurrent Credit Union of Springfield, Missouri, an institution with more than $140 million assets and three branch locations serving nearly 20,000 members, recently installed Arca CM18 Evo cash recyclers in its branch locations, according to a press release.
Tim Sperr, BluCurrent vice president of member services, said the Arca recyclers replaced those of another manufacturer that did not perform well with the CU's software system.
"There were issues with data translation between the software and the cash recycler," he said. "With the Arca technology, we are using the same software we used with the previous machine, but everything operates much better now."
Arca Vice President Mike Mares said that one of the strengths of the technology is its ability to integrate seamlessly with a variety of financial software platforms. "It's one of the reasons our CM18 line of products has been so successful," he said. "They are very reliable machines."
The new recyclers, which secure cash in a safe that's accessible to tellers, have enabled BluCurrent to enhance their service with Saturday hours.
"We don't staff with a manager in the branch on Saturday, so having a working vault that's safe and secure that also gives tellers access if they need it, is great," Sperr said in the release.
