Solvport, a Portland, Ore.-based ATM and kiosk services provider, has launched a mobile companion to its Solview 2.0.
The company's customers can download the company’s Solview Mobile application from www.solviewmobile.com onto their iPhones or Google Android phones.
The application enables Solvport customers to use their mobile phones to check the status of ATM repairs, including whether Solvport has dispatched a technician to repair ATMs and if the repair ticket is open or closed, said Shawne Carr, Solvport marketing manager. In addition, customers can download completed paper work and photographs to their mobile phones, Carr said.
Solvport customers can check the status of work assignments by typing in their customer ID and access code. They also can monitor the work by typing in the ATMs’ ID numbers.
In November, Solvport introduced Solview 2.0, a Web-based ATM-management application. With Solview 2.0, customers log on to the site from a personal computer. Solview Mobile, which is also a Web-based ATM-management application, is made for business owners on the go.
“We developed a mobile application because we know many of our customers are not sitting at their desks all day,” Carr said. Solvport employees developed Solview Mobile in-house for the iPhone and Android mobile devices because of the popularity of the phones. The company also is considering an application for the BlackBerry phone, he said.
“The Solview Mobile application is just one more service offering that gives our customers a competitive edge and allows them to more effectively manage their ATM portfolio,” said Gary Cosmer, Solvport president and CEO.
Solvport provides help desk technical support, field services, real-time monitoring and project management for more than 120,000 locations worldwide. Its customers include ATM independent sales organizations.
