Shinsei Bank has formed partnerships with Lawson ATM Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Lawson Inc., and E-net Co. Ltd., a company whose stakeholders include 72 FIs and convenience store chains. These partnerships will add approximately 23,000 ATMs to the FI’s existing network.
Shinsei, an FI with $89 billion in assets, has gradually expanded its ATM footprint beyond its own bank-operated fleet through deals with companies such as Seven Bank, Japan Post Bank, Viewcard Co. Ltd., in addition to providing the Bank's own ATM network. The bank now offers its customers access to ATMs in 96,000 locations throughout Japan.
Shinsei began offering services earlier this week at ATMs owned by its new partners. Customers will be able to use the machines 24/7/365 completely fee free.
The FI’s PowerFlex customers will be able to use their Shinsei Bank cash cards to withdraw and deposit cash, and check account balances at ATMs operated by Lawson and E-net. Additionally, Shinsei Bank Card Loan customers will also be able to borrow money, make payments and confirm balances at the partner ATMs.
