TORRANCE, Calif. - Seiko Instruments USA Inc. has added two models to its line of CAP9000 direct thermal-printer mechanisms.
According to a news release, the new 2-inch and 4-inch print-width models, like their 3-inch predecessor, provide integration flexibility for receipt and ticket-printing applications. Seiko has also introduced the LTP9000 models, which come without auto-cutters, for more rugged, heavy-duty printer mechanisms.
"The Seiko Instruments CAP9000 gave us a rugged and reliable printer suitable for self-service applications," said Bill Jackson, vice President of engineering for Triton Systems, a U.S. ATM manufacturer.
Akira Yamamoto, Seiko Instruments USA's president, said listening to the needs of the self-service market led to the development of the new thermal-printer models.
"The self-service industry is experiencing a dynamic growth period, and we're excited to be well positioned as a solutions provider to this market with the CAP9000 lineup," he said.
