Wincor Nixdorf has announced a new solution that surmounts the problem of validating a front-office application before it is installed. The solution, developed with SAP, assures banks of the front-office application's viability before spending time and resources on programming, Wincor said in an announcement.
After obtaining interface certification last year from SAP for the Wincor front-office application, PC/E Teller Operations, the two companies partnered on a joint evaluation package for the application that uses the SAP accelerator, "One Touch Banking Toolbox."
PC/E Teller Operations is a front-office software package for processing both cash and non-cash transactions in current account, savings account and forex environments. As a front-end application, it provides the SAP core banking system with customer, account and posting data.
"PC/E Teller Operations enables banks to set up customized front-office processes and achieve a high degree of automation in handling front-office transactions — for example by connecting automated teller safes or other front-office terminals," said Stefan Wahle, vice president of solutions at Wincor Nixdorf.
The accelerator is a full-blown operational banking environment that is portable and deployable anywhere using standard server infrastructures.
Together, the Wincor Nixdorf and SAP solutions allow banks to see and experience how PC/E Teller Operations handles current account and savings account transactions end-to-end when connected to the SAP Deposit Management solution.
The solution fits seamlessly into core banking to support SAP's Multichannel Strategy in this area. The benefit to the bank is a flexible, tried-and-tested and end-to-end solution from both companies,Wincor said.
