Report: Wincor Nixdorf is the leader in automated deposit functionality in Western Europe

March 13, 2011

Wincor Nixdorf AG has installed more ATMs with automated deposit functionality than its competitors in Western Europe, according to a research report released today.

Retail Banking Research, a London-based strategic research and consulting firm, determined that Wincor Nixdorf controlled 37 percent of the installations in 14 Western European countries at the end of 2009.

The study, "Deposit Automation and Recycling 2010," examined the deployment of automated deposit terminals in 46 countries worldwide.

Europe is an extremely important market for Wincor Nixdorf, which has its headquarters in Paderborn, Germany.

At the end of Wincor Nixdorf's 2010 fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, 2010, 72 percent of the company's revenues came from Europe. Twenty-nine percent came from Germany and 43 percent from the rest of Europe.
