Renovite, Cashware pact pledges high-quality ATM testing at lower cost

Payment solution specialists Renovite Technologies and Cashware have announced a distribution agreement that will bolster their end-to-end ATM application testing capability, according to a press release.

The strategic agreement will allow Fremont, California-based Renovite to integrate and license the ATMirage tool from Madrid-based Cashware as an embedded component of the Renovite cloud native ATM testing solution, Reno-Test.

With the integration, Renovite removes the need to use a physical ATM terminal during testing. Using virtualization, the application mimics different conditions in XFS, allowing testers to simulate and automate any component of the payment cycle. 

This will significantly speed up the testing process, lower costs and guarantee high quality, meaningful test results for financial organizations, the release said.

"Demand for innovation in the ATM space is accelerating," Renovite Chief Operating Officer Jim Tomaney said in the release. "A combination of better technology and changing consumer expectations means the pace and complexity financial organizations now need [in order] to bring new products to market is considerably higher than it used to be. Automating testing using Reno-Test combined with the newly integrated ATMirage module will significantly boost how efficiently and effectively they are able to do so."
