Regions Bank is donating $25,000 in grant funding for American Red Cross disaster relief in Indiana, following a series of floods that swept through central Indiana on Aug. 11, according to a press release.

It is also adding in disaster financial services in portions of Indianapolis, Noblesville, Fishers and other towns impacted by the flood. These services include:

  • Waived fees for non-Regions ATMs.
  • No check-cashing fees for FEMA-issued checks.
  • Personal loan payment assistant.
  • Payment deferrals.
  • Interest rate discount of up to 0.50% on new unsecured personal loans.

"The scale of destruction is heartbreaking. Families are displaced, homes and businesses are damaged, and communities are facing a long road to recovery," Jenny Lurkins, Regions Bank's Indianapolis market executive, said in the release. "Our teams at Regions Bank are dedicated to listening to the people we serve and offering solutions to help them get through this time. Through special discounts, financial assistance programs, loan-relief options and fee waivers, we hope to ease some of the financial burden so those affected can focus on moving forward."

Customers can go online to Region's Bank Disaster Relief Center or Customer Assitance Program for additional information.
