Prosegur, Spain’s chief multinational company in the private security sector, has implemented the Ntegra multicurrency banknote counter and sorter from U.K.-based Glory Global Solutions.
The integration of 300 Ntegra machines into Prosegur’s proprietary software infrastructure makes Prosegur the first security company in Spain to handle the full cash management cycle, covering cash traceability, transportation and handling in the same solution.
"The flexibility to integrate Ntegra into Prosegur’s cash management software has played an important role in the consolidation of this project," said a spokesperson for the Prosegur cash-handling department in Spain. "Furthermore, the quality of the maintenance service allows us to ensure efficient operations to our customers.”
The Ntegra model has been certified by the European Central Bank, in addition to meeting the legal requirements of the Banknote Recycling Framework. The device operates continuously and can sort and authenticate banknotes by denomination and condition at a speed of 1,200 notes per minute.
