Police arrest 4 men for alleged ATM jaws of life robberies in Maryland, D.C.

Police arrested four men for allegedly breaking into more than 12 ATMs in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area. The group, which includes Jeff Crews, 35; David Walker, 40; Maurice Roots, 35 and Kevin Bing, 31, allegedly used Jaws of Life to break open the ATM and steal the cash, according to a report by WTOP News.

The robberies took place over three months, beginning in January 2025 at stores throughout the region. In the cases, the men would allegedly arrive on the scene, where one dealt with store employees, another targeted the surveillance footage and the last was the getaway driver. The men allegedly used the Jaws of Life to pry open the ATM.

The men allegedly used stolen cars in each incident. An estimated $200,000 was stolen across all incidents.
