Paragon team members earn Visa EMV accreditation

The program was developed to fill a need for qualified consultants to assist payment issuers and acquirers with Visa EMV implementation.

Paragon Application Systems, a provider of e-payment testing solutions, has announced that two of its team members are now accredited to provide Visa EMV consulting services to payment issuers and acquirers.

According to a press release from Paragon, Deborah Spidle, director of EMV solutions, and Harold Pruitt, solutions architect, successfully completed the Visa EMV consultant training program.

The accreditation program covers card changes, modifications to host systems and terminals, support for merchants, system testing, and certification.

"Understanding Visa's perspective on EMV-related issues, and what Visa expects U.S. issuers and acquirers to do when implementing EMV enables Paragon to provide an even higher level of service to our customers during their EMV migrations," Spidle said.

"Visa's approach to implementing EMV in the USA is to keep it simple," Pruitt said. "Of course an EMV implementation will never be simple in the strict sense of the word, but Visa's decisions on implementation strategies can help us to help our customers meet their liability shift deadlines."
