Paragon software supports, tests ATM processing shift

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - Alaska Option, an EFT network, and Pemco Technologies, a payments processor, recently formed an alliance to offer enhanced services to their customers.
According to a news release, the deal includes a technology-sharing arrangement, by which Alaska Options' customers can use Pemco's fraud-management services and Alaska Option will provide ATM services to Pemco. To facilitate the transition of ATM services to Alaska Option, ATM software provider and tester Paragon Application Systems simulated and tested ATM transaction processing with its ATMulator Plus product.
Both organizations are long time users of Paragon products.
Some of the challenges the companies faced in transitioning ATM servicing from Pemco to Alaska Option involved transferring the ATM configuration files.
"Pemco Technologies used ATMulator Plus to build their configuration files," said Megan Poulson of Alaska Option. "We were then able to walk them through the states-and-screens changes necessary to export to our host system. This made the conversion process much quicker and easier for us."
