September 28, 2011

Paragon Application Systems, with its partner Vedas, yesterday announced the certification by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency of Paragon’s function, regression and pre-certification testing solution, FASTest, for the member bank and EFTPOS interfaces.

Paragon FASTest is an e-payment function and regression testing solution that enables organizations to confirm the reliability of their transaction processing. Paragon has developed FASTest simulators for more than 100 financial message formats, including NCR and Diebold protocol ATMs, APACS 30/40, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, BASE24, FIS, Knet, Benefit, Central Bank UAE and now Saudi Payments Network (SPAN), according to a press release.

SPAN is the national e-payments switch of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is a subsidiary of SAMA, the central bank of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Vedas is a distributor of e-payment technologies and services in the Middle East and Gulf Region.

“We are pleased to expand our solutions in the Middle East with the FASTest for SPAN simulator," said Douglas Daggett, Middle East sales director for Paragon. “Member banks and POS vendors can now benefit from the most comprehensive pre-certification solutions on the market, at the greatest return on investment.”
