The Business Journal of Milwaukee: The number of ATMs throughout the world will expand over the next five years, while North America's global market share of ATMs will diminish slightly during the same period, according to a United Kingdom consulting firm. The worldwide ATM market will grow from 1.3 million machines in 2003 to 1.7 million machines by 2009, states the report, compiled by Surrey, England-based Retail Banking Research. The bad news is the North American market won't keep pace with the rest of the world.
