MEBANE, N.C. — A group of retail executives will gather Jan. 13 to discuss challenges and technologies that are shaping the retail industry's approach to cash management

According to a news release, the forum, sponsored by ArcaTech Systems, will be moderated by Paula Rosenblum, managing partner of Retail Systems Research.

"New Reality of Retail: Cash Automation in Today's Economy" coincides with the National Retail Federation's Big Show 2009.  Rosenblum will lead a discussion that revolves around successes and shortcomings in cash management, sharing her own experience and research.

Before joining RSR, Rosenblum spent more than 20 years as a retail-technology executive, including several years as a chief information officer.

"In the current economic climate, retailers must be as streamlined as possible to stay profitable and competitive," said Aubrey Meador, ArcaTech Systems vice president. "Increasingly, these retailers are turning to cash automation and related technology to improve operational efficiency. We're eager to hear retail leaders' first-hand feedback on cash management. We're also pleased to provide these executives an opportunity to learn from colleagues and from one of retail technology's top analysts."

ArcaTech experts also can be found at the company's exhibit booth, No. 154.
