Northwest Bank announced it will open its fourth branch in the Columbus, Ohio area. It will be located next to The Ohio State University, according to a press release.
Customers will be able to access self-service tools and personal advice from bankers at the branch. The bank is designing the branch with a universal banking model to serve the student population in the region.
"Ohio State students are at a pivotal stage in their financial lives — often opening their first accounts, building credit, and forming lifelong banking habits," Urich Bowers, chief consumer banking and strategy officer, Northwest Bank, said in the release. "We want to build a long-term relationship, becoming a trusted partner early on, by offering a welcoming environment, modern digital tools and personalized guidance as they navigate major financial milestones."
The bank is also developing three locations in New Albany, Gahanna and Westerville. These four branches are set to open before the end of 2026. They will hire 30 to 40 full-time employees for the financial centers.
