NCR, UAE bank partner to introduce customer-centric ATM solutions

Ajman Bank will revamp its ATM network with next-generation ATMs and omnichannel software to ensure higher availability and a personalized experience.

NCR Corp. and Ajman Bank, an FI serving customers in the UAE, have partnered to implement an omnichannel infrastructure project powered by NCR software and hardware solutions.

According to a press release, NCR will help Ajman Bank revamp its ATM network with next-generation ATMs, including NCR SelfServ 22e, SelfServ 25 and SelfServ 32, to ensure higher availability and transactions secured by NCR skimming protection solutions.

The fleet will run NCR APTRA Activate consumer experience banking software to enable functionality beyond cash withdrawals.

Ajman Bank also will deploy APTRA eMarketing on a software as a service model in order to deliver personalized marketing to members online and in email.

"Implementation of the new generation of the SaaS module into the bank's system will have a big impact on the quality of our retail banking services and products," said Salem Al Shamsi, EVP and head of retail banking services at Ajman Bank. "[I]mplementing the module will increase the number of ATM machines and widen the area of distribution across the emirates that will give our customers easy, convenient access to these ATMs and the services provided by them anywhere they might be".

As part of the agreement, Ajman Bank will implement NCR predictive services across its self-service channel. The system anticipates ATM failures before they occur and proactively schedules fixes to maximize uptime.
