July 29, 2013

Shenzhen, China-based Bank of Ningbo has gone live with NCR APTRA Edge, a multi-vendor open ATM software platform from NCR Corp. The bank's fleet of more than 500 ATMs has also migrated to EMV card payment standard, as well as the People's Bank of China e-wallet standard.

NCR has installed its Terminal Management Services solution, which provides real-time remote monitoring and recovery ability. The company also has upgraded the bank's ATM network with a suite of security solutions, including NCR Remote Key Management, Dynamic eLock Management, and SolidCore for APTRA.

Within 10 months, NCR has successfully centralized and secured the bank's ATM platform, giving it consistent interfaces and improving operational efficiency, the company said in a news release.

"We are proud to transform Bank of Ningbo's ATM network with NCR's total management solution in making their everyday life easier with a truly open platform for new banking services development," said Gary Miao, president of NCR Financial Services in Greater China. "We are looking forward to work with Bank of Ningbo again for its next phase development."
