NCR launches managed services tailored to needs of community FIs

July 18, 2017

NCR Corp. has announced the launch of simplified managed services for community financial institutions in the United States. These new lower costs for CFIs while providing monitoring, maintenance, security and management for ATMs, the company said in a press release.

"The challenge that CFIs face is how to deliver world-class customer service at the lowest possible cost," Chris King, NCR vice president of financial sales for North America, said in the release. "Driving profitability requires banks to consistently manage every element of the self-service channel. NCR's new managed offers help CFIs stretch their available resources to provide the best possible experience with their ATM network."

Patty Melvin, assistant vice president of e-banking at City National Bank of Charleston, West Virginia, said that engaging NCR Managed Services had allowed the FI to reduce costs and leverage skilled resources available outside the institution.

"Finding and hiring new staff with the right skill set to manage our large fleet of ATMs and distributing software updates at that scale can be both challenging and expensive," she said.

According to the release, NCR Managed Services allow CFIs to maximize availability, minimize failed customer interactions, enhance regulatory compliance and reduce both security risks and the cost of cash.
