ORLANDO - NCR Corp. introduced its Personas 71 ATM last at BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla.
The Personas 71 is designed for quick indoor or outdoor deployment. The compact, fully weatherized ATM provides maximum return on investment by enabling ATM deployers to quickly move units, if a location proves less profitable than expected or if the transaction volume is expected to drop.
The Personas 71 offers TCP/IP, dial-up connectivity and is capable of wireless communications.
Travelex, the world's leading foreign exchange company, recently deployed 150 Personas 71 units in the United Kingdom.
"The Personas 71 opens up new business and deployment opportunities for our customers," said Andy Orent, vice president of NCR's Financial Solutions Division, Americas region. "ATM deployers need flexibility, particularly in a market where ideal locations are harder to determine. This unit lets the deployer rapidly make location changes when necessary, without the associated risk or overhead."
The Personas 71 is available as a walk-up or drive-up ATM. It is available with Windows XP and is backed by NCR's Aptra software. It also offers NCR's Fluiditi ink-staining technology. Additional fraud prevention features include a secure keypad and a card reader that is EMV-ready.
