DAYTON — NCR Corp. has announced two leadership appointments.
According to a news release, Tushar Kothari has been named vice president of worldwide channels and Juliann Larimer has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of North American channels. The hires mark the first step in NCR's strategy to invest indirect channels to continue to drive profitable revenue growth worldwide for channel partners, customers and NCR.
"Our retail customers like the breadth of highly reliable solutions NCR offers, ranging from fast, energy efficient point-of-sale systems to user-friendly self-checkouts," said Dean Crotty, president of North Country Business Products Inc., a long-standing NCR channel partner. "We are encouraged by the commitment that NCR is showing to growing its business through the channel with these key appointments and look forward to more innovative technologies coming onto the market in the future."
NCR's partners include distributors, value-added resellers and independent software vendors that play vital roles in delivering NCR solutions to organizations in the financial, retail, healthcare, travel, gaming, entertainment and public sectors.
"NCR has an extensive portfolio of channel-ready, industry leading self-service and assisted service products," Kothari said. "These solutions are designed to increase staff productivity and speed up service delivery for customers, thereby improving satisfaction and loyalty levels. Critically, we enable businesses to stretch their payroll budgets further by enabling them to redeploy labor to activities that increase sales revenues."
Kothari is the focal point for determining NCR's in direct channel requirements moving forward and extending the company's market reach with distributors, VARs and ISVs globally.
"NCR's world-class solutions offer tremendous opportunities to channel partners to deliver benefits to their customers," he said. "We are increasing our commitment to our channel partners and I would encourage the solution provider community to look at NCR."
Kothari was previously senior vice president of worldwide field operations for Meru Networks and vice president of worldwide channels at Juniper Networks, where he was responsible for building the enterprise and service provider go-to-market model for the channel, bringing in more than $2 billion in revenues. Prior to that he served in senior roles at Cisco Systems.
Juliann Larimer will be leading the channel engagements in North America. Over a career spanning 20 years, Juliann has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the effectiveness of channel organizations within technology companies. She previously was vice president of North America channel sales and marketing at Zebra Technologies, following senior sales and marketing roles at IBM Corp., Accenture and Bridgestone Corp.
"Businesses have to be very strategic in how they spend their IT dollars in today's tough economic climate," Larimer said. "NCR's solutions help reduce operational costs, improve staff productivity and increase customer service levels. This provides our partners with excellent opportunities to secure new business opportunities that deliver both top line and bottom line growth."
