Financial services technology provider Fiserv Inc. has announced that Smithfield, R.I.-based Navigant Credit Union will implement the DNA account processing platform from Open Solutions, now part of Fiserv.
Navigant, a CU with $1.4 billion in assets and 62,000 members, will also use Fiserv products that include Card Services Debit Processing, Accel payments network, and a number of other solutions.
With the platform's .NET architecture, Navigant can easily enhance DNA with additional solutions from third-party partners and applications developed by other DNA clients.
The CU also will have access to the DNAcreator development toolkit, which allows technical staff to create custom core extensions called DNAapps — and sell them to other FIs through the DNAappstore, the first online marketplace for shared custom applications.
"Banks and credit unions have always been attracted to DNA's innovative approach to core account processing, but now that we have the leadership and breadth of value-added solutions offered by Fiserv, interest in DNA is accelerating," said Steve Cameron, president of the Open Solutions division at Fiserv. "Navigant Credit Union joins a large community of DNA clients who are leveraging the platform's openness and flexibility to serve the needs of today's digitally connected consumer."
"With DNA, Navigant gains the strategic partnership of an industry leader and a proven, modern core platform," said Gary E. Furtado, president and CEO of Navigant. "The flexible, open architecture and single database design of DNA will enable us to roll out new products quickly and easily, improving our efficiency and enhancing the member experience."
