Nautilus Hyosung names new president and CEO

ATM manufacturer Nautilus Hyosung Inc. Friday announced that it has named Hyun Sik Sohn president and CEO, succeeding P.K. Ryou, who will lead the Construction Performance Group at Hyosung Corp., Nautilus Hyosung's parent company.

Sohn will assume responsibility for Nautilus Hyosung's global business at the company's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.

"It is an exciting time at Nautilus Hyosung as we find ourselves evolving into a leading player on many levels," said Sohn in his inauguration speech. "By continuing to expand our global presence and introduce more exciting products to the marketplace, we are embarking upon new phases of growth even faster than we would have hoped. Our outlook on business is strong and we have never been as committed to excellence as we are today."

Under Ryou, Nautilus Hyosung, parent company of Nautilus Hyosung America Inc., the manufacturer flourished. It expanded into 23 countries, shipping 50,000 ATMs in 2010.

Sohn, who was the company's chief operating officer, is a graduate of Hanyang University. There he earned an electronics engineering degree. Sohn joined Nautilus Hyosung in 1979. He held a variety of management positions, including managing director for manufacturing.
