More U.S. banks move to mobile-phone, iPhone deposits

Mobile banking applications are becoming more popular, and iPhone's remote depositing application is quickly topping the mobile-banking list. The Sacramento Bee reports that the mobile-deposit offer announced in August by USAA has been extremely popular. To date, USAA customers have reportedly deposited more than 100,000 checks totaling $61 million with their iPhones.
A recent announcement from banking giant Bank of America is expected to push mobile deposits even further. Bank of America is soon expected to start testing mobile phone deposits with iPhone, the California paper reports.
