Moneycorp taps VocaLink in ATM outsourcing deal

International payments provider VocaLink today announced that it has been selected to take over the management of the Moneycorp ATM portfolio. Moneycorp ATMs are available at four UK airports and in major cities.

VocaLink said it would work with Moneycorp to provide turnkey services including card scheme sponsorship for acquiring MasterCard and Visa ATM transactions. The company will provide other services as well, including Dynamic Currency Conversion, which allows the ATM operator to convert the value of a transaction from the currency in the ATM to the currency of the card issuer.

Previously, conversion would be performed by the card issuer when the transaction was posted to the card account. Conversion at the ATM provides a new revenue opportunity for the ATM operator.
