Moneycorp deploys weatherized ATMs in the UK

NCR Corp. announced today that Moneycorp has deployed weatherized NCR SelfServ 28 ATMs in city center locations around the U.K. to provide a reliable, secure service for customers. According to the companies, Moneycorp worked closely with NCR and NCR partner ATMRC to quickly design, test and deploy the ATM solution.

"As opportunities to provide customers with on-street cash withdrawal services increase we had to quickly evolve the solutions we deploy in city-centers," Moneycorp Head of Automated Cash Alan Chambers said in the announcement. "The innovative, weatherized hardware solutions deployed in our pods have proved easy to use for customers, especially those from overseas, and allowed us to effectively future-proof and grow our business."

NCR's SelfServ 28 ATM is a weatherized, freestanding ATM that can be deployed inside or outside. It is able to complement an ATM provider's existing ATM network as it can go wherever customers need service, without the need to build a structure to house the ATM, according to the company. It is designed to be easily deployed and redeployed anywhere — indoors or outdoors — with minimal infrastructure requirements, to help maximize brand exposure, transaction volumes and revenue with a low cost of ownership.
