The Minnesota House passed a ban on crypto ATMs 127-7. The bill was previously approved by the Senate and now will go to Governor Tim Walz's desk for approval, according to areport by CBS News.

Rep. Erin Koegel, bill author, said that, "these crypto kiosks have become a prime tool for scammers to target some of our most vulnerable neighbors, especially seniors living on fixed incomes. When Minnesotans are losing their life savings in transactions that are nearly impossible to trace or recover, we have a responsibility to act."

There are currently 350 licensed crypto ATMs in Minnesota. CoinFlip said that out of the 12,000 transactions in the state, less tahn 1% have requested refunds.

If signed, Minnesota would become the third state to ban crypto ATMs completely, following Indiana and Tennessee.
