Memphis bank tests intelligent deposit ATMs from NCR, for cash and checks

Memphis Commercial Appeal:Regions Bank in Memphis is testing an NCR Corp. ATM that accepts mixed deposits of checks and cash, the newest wave in automated ATM deposits. ATM receipts show the denominations of currency and give photographic evidence of a deposited check to the customer. Regions began using the technology in February, scattering 80 of the advanced-function ATMs across its 16 states. NCR announced last month it had sold 10,000 intelligent-deposit machines.
