WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Bill acceptors from MEI were key components in retail self-service kiosks that took top honors at this year's KioskCom Excellence Awards, presented April 16 during the annual KioskCom Conference & Trade Show.
School-Link Technologies received the "Best Food Service Deployment" award for its prepayment kiosk for school cafeterias. It operates like a "reverse ATM," accepting bills and coins, which are immediately credited the student's account.
And Precision Dynamics Corp.'s PDC Smart Kiosk won the "Best Travel/Hospitality Deployment" award. Created for water and amusement parks and resorts, the freestanding PDC Smart Kiosk lets guests load money to their RFID wristbands using cash, credit or debit.
