WORTHING, England - The United Kingdom's Link Interchange Network Ltd. said cash machines across the country are expected to hit all-time highs for cash withdrawals during the month of May. The increase is expected because of the country's two bank holidays, which fall on the first and last Mondays of the month.
According to a news release, withdrawals peaked April 28, the Friday before the first holiday, at 19.5 million transactions. Link expects transactions May 26 to meet or exceed that total. In England alone, holiday transactions totaled 16.4 million earlier this month.
