March Networks, a provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that "one of Qatar's largest financial institutions" has standardized its video surveillance with March's integrated surveillance hardware and Searchlight software applications designed to prevent fraud and other financial crimes.
The bank is deploying March Networks Searchlight applications, Enterprise Service Manager software, high-definition MegaPX NanoDome IP cameras and 4324 C hybrid network video recorders.
The FI will use the new system to detect fraud such as ATM skimming and cash harvesting at its ATMs and banking branches nationwide. The March solution will exceed government-mandated requirements recently introduced to strengthen video surveillance standards in the Qatari banking sector.
Searchlight Skimming Detection automatically alerts staff to suspicious activity at ATMs and uses associated video, transaction data, color analysis and facial images to help investigators gather and quickly review visual evidence. The Searchlight Financial Transaction Investigation application correlates video and ATM or teller transaction data to speed investigations and streamline case management.
"Our Searchlight software applications help banks sift quickly through vast amounts of video and transaction data to find the exact information they need to combat fraud and cut losses dramatically," said Net Payne, chief marketing officer for March Networks. "Searchlight saves banks both time and cost."
