Diebold Inc. has announced that its Agilis 3 software platform is now certified on the Windows 7 operating system by several of the largest U.S. network processors, including First Data, Elan Financial Services, Fiserv, NetWorks and Vantiv.
With Agilis 3, financial institutions can align their ATM fleets with pending changes such as terminal software migration to Windows 7, EMV compliance, PCI and ADA, Diebold said in a news release.
The company said that the open architecture design of the Agilis 3 software application reduces the time and cost of implementing advanced ATM features and functions, including branding elements, text messaging and email alerts, receipts via mobile device and customized preference settings.
Additionally, Agilis 3 leverages multichannel application development, which allows users to initiate a transaction in one channel and execute it in another channel, the company said.
"In today's environment, it is imperative that banking channels operate synergistically," said Mychal D. Kempt, vice president of North America operations at Diebold. "The open architecture design of Agilis 3 enables an ATM to communicate with other banking channels, such as mobile. We're excited to help our customers stay in tune with consumer technology and best utilize their self-service channel."
