MagTek launches OEM hybrid secure card reader

MagTek Inc., a supplier of secure payment technology, has launched the oDynamo OEM secure card reader authenticator. The device provides reliable and secure reading of magnetic stripe and chip card data at unattended payment terminals, a company press release said.

ODynamo was developed to meet the wide-ranging needs of ATMs, gas pumps, vending machines and other unattended payment applications. The device supports multiple communication protocols and a variety of interfaces, including USB, UART and Ethernet. It also integrates easily with PIN pads and NFC modules, the release said.

Housed in a sealed chassis, oDynamo is impenetrable to liquid and other harmful environmental elements. Additionally, it provides anti-skimming technology in a tamper resistant security module; making PCI-PTS compliance and SRED certification easier, the release said.
