LINK appoints new CEO

June 30, 2011

Today, LINK, a United Kingdom-based ATM network, announced the appointment of John Howells as its new CEO. This follows the move of Edwin Schooling Latter to the Bank of England at the end of March.

Howells, 45, was previously a director of Ernst & Young's Financial Services business, and the head of benefits and pensions consulting at Capgemini, where he specialized in the design and implementation of strategic change for major public and private sector organizations.

"I am delighted that John Howells has agreed to become the new Chief Executive of the LINK Scheme. He comes to us with an outstanding set of skills and expertise, which will be much valued by members of the LINK Scheme. His previous career has given him a background which will be of importance to the Scheme," said Dr. Ken Andrew, chairman, LINK.
