Lebanese FI future-proofs ATM channel with NCR SelfServ 80 Series

NCR Corp., has announced that Bank Audi — a leading financial institution in Lebanon, will be the first bank in the Middle East and Africa region to introduce the NCR SelfServ 80 Series, a new family of ATM solutions.

As part of this agreement, Bank Audi will add NCR SelfServ 82 and NCR SelfServ 84 ATMs to its fleet, according to a press release. The SelfServ 80 Series offers combines software, hardware and services in a solution capable of converging physical and digital channels in a future-proof package, NCR said.

Built-in interactive video banking enables FIs to offer personalized service by a live teller right at the ATM.

"The NCR SelfServ 80 Series delivers the next generation of omnichannel self-service experiences at the ATM that will help us grow revenue, reduce cost, manage risk and enhance customer experience," Omar el Zein, Head of Innovation at Bank Audi, said in the release.

The multifunctional ATMs feature a large, 19-inch multitouch display that facilitates tablet-like swipe, pinch and zoom actions.

The new ATM family also focuses on security with a recessed keyboard that provides inbuilt PIN protection, and a picture-in-picture camera that shows ATM users what's happening behind them.

"Financial institutions need to be ready to offer the experience digital natives expect and demand as they come of age and require unrestricted access to financial services with a seamless experience across any device of their choice," Jose Resendiz, VP and General Manager of NCR Financial Services, said in the release. "The addition of the NCR SelfServ 80 Series will help Bank Audi execute on their innovation and customer experience strategy by transforming the banking experience they deliver to perfectly align with how their customers want to bank."

The NCR SelfServ 80 family offers fully customizable, color-coded media entry and exit indicators. Additionally, 10-cassette cash dispense capability reduces cash replenishment costs.

Paired with NCR's CxBanking software suite, the SelfServ 80 series extends the customer experience across physical and digital banking channels.

The SelfServ 80 Series has security designed in. For example, a flush infinity glass card reader surround bars the attachment of a skimming device. The machine also can be enabled for contactless transaction, via card or smart phone, eliminating the threat of skimming altogether.
