Latin American banks benefit from card-based products

ePaynews.com:In Latin America, electronic payments volume has benefited from the modernization of the underlying financial infrastructure and the growing popularity of card-based payment products, according to a recent white paper by the Economist Intelligence Unit. Brazil has the highest debit card penetration among Latin American countries, but the average value of debit card transactions in Brazil remains low, and local financial entities are working to improve debit card and e-payments volumes by promoting interoperable ATM networks.
