KBC Bank Ireland opts for TSYS processing

TSYS and KBC Bank Ireland have signed a multi-year payments agreement under which TSYS launch the KBC debit card portfolio in Ireland. TSYS will provide its TS2 outsourced processing platform, and customer service support will be provided by TSYS Managed Services EMEA.
KBC Group, parent company of KBC Bank Ireland, is one of Europe's largest financial services providers. The company also has operations in the U.S. and Southeast Asia.
The TSYS debit solution will support all card processing for KBC, as well as value-added services. The company's managed services arm will provide customer service support, dispute and chargeback handling, and fraud and strategy management.
"[O]ver the last 18 months we have been expanding our presence and introducing new and innovative products," said Edward Dillon, head of retail products for KBC Bank Ireland. "The ability to launch a debit card is seen as the next critical stage in our growth."
