Jamaican man charged for $2M ATM theft

A man in Jamaica is being accused of stealing more than $2 million from an ATM in St. Andrew, Jamaica. Terrance Austin, 55, is a security officer who worked for a security company that serviced the machines, according to a report by Jamaica Gleaner.

The financial institution discovered that a significant amount of cash had not been received. During an investigation, the bank allegedly discovered that Austin removed $2.045 million from the ATM. Police arrested him and charged him with larceny as a servant.

His court date is still being finalized.
