Alizz islamic bank — a new Islamic bank in Oman — has become the sultanate's first FI to introduce NCR Interactive Teller to provide a personal banking experience outside of regular bank hours, according to a press release from NCR Corp.
With Interactive Teller, alizz islamic bank customers can complete more than 95 percent of typical branch transactions right at the ATM with the assistance of a live, remote teller, the company said. Services include cash withdrawals above the daily limit, cash deposits, check deposit and cashing, credit card payments, and money transfers.
"We are very proud to be the first bank in the Sultanate to launch Interactive Teller, which will allow us to serve our customers with significantly extended hours without losing the personal contact that we value so much," Salaam Al Shaksy, CEO of alizz islamic bank said in the release. "The Interactive Teller provides an effective state-of-the-art approach to expand a bank's network with branch transactions without the physical setup of an office."
The new Interactive Teller has been deployed in the Muscat Grand Mall, where it will serve customers from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
