Info Touch finds potential in pilot with Cardtronics

Digital Transactions: The idea of merging financial-services kiosks with ATMs will be tested this spring whenInfo Touch Technologies Corp. and ATM deployer Cardtronics Inc. begin driving some 40 machines fitted to dispense cash withdrawals and perform kiosk functions. The Info Touch-Cardtronics machines, which are manufactured by NCR EasyPoint ATM LLC, formerly Tidel, in Carrollton, Texas, will help both companies establish whether a business case exists for the devices, said John Lewis, business-development executive for Info Touch. The machines also will show whether customer frustration with the technology is a problem. "That is something that will be monitored," Lewis said. "There can't be any huge wait times."
