Indian bank launches mobile ATM unit

Mangalore, India-based Corporation Bank today unveiled its new branch at Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, in the northern part of India. According to a bank press release, it also launched a mobile ATM unit that will provide services to customers on a fixed route.

The van will stop at specified locations at pre-determined times. ATM services will be provided during the stationed time at any particular location. The mobile ATM unit will be equipped with Internet connectivity and also will display short films or important general information on matters of financial literacy and inclusion.

Additionally, designated staff in the van will assist customers in opening accounts and filling out loan application forms.

Corporation Bank has 89 branches in Uttar Pradesh.
