Hyosung retires 2700 model ATM

April 4, 2019

Nine years after its introduction, Nautilus Hyosung America has announced the retirement of its popular 2700 ATM.

Since 2010, Hyosung has shipped more than 46,000 of the 6,000 note-capacity 2700 model, whose 10.1-inch screen featured the first capacitive touch-sensitive function keys in a retail ATM.

However, the company said that since the official release early last year of its Force ATM, customers have steadily gravitated to the newer model, which offers all of the same features of the 2700, along with enhancements suited to the needs of today's users.

"Combined with a newer, more modern look, the Force is a natural successor to the tried and true 2700," the company said in the announcement.

For operators of existing 2700 machines who still have need of a shell and TTW solution, the company said it has a Halo II Shell option in the works, as well as a Force TTW (2800T), which will be announced when available.
