Heartland security-breach lawsuits sent to Houston court

BankInfoSecurity.com:The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation in Louisville, Ky., on Wednesday issued its decision to consolidate the class action suits brought against Heartland Payment Systems. The lawsuits will be heard in the Southern District Court of Texas in Houston by Judge Lee H. Rosenthal. Attorney Richard Coffman, who is representing two of the financial institutions in class action suits — Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union and Lone Summit Bank — expressed confidence in Judge Rosenthal's abilities to handle the consolidated class action suits.
