GRGBanking Equipment Co. Ltd. will hold its 9th Global Customer Exchange at the company's Guangzhou, China, headquarters September 16 to 18. The conference theme, "Intelligence Drives Future Banking," focuses on the need for the proper product mix to drive business and transform banking models, according to a company news release.

"Future bank customers are likely to prefer easy access to banking services in a more convenient time and place, rather than some 'old-fashioned' branches," said event organizer Crystal Hoo.

On the other hand, she said, "Banks will be facing the dilemma of meeting the rising labor costs and increasing diversified customer demands. All of those will push the banking industry to evolve and transform their banking model, with technology as the catalyst."

The event is expected to draw more than 130 participants from financial institutions, CIT companies and retailers, as well as experts from the retail banking and cash management segments.

Session topics will include:

  • improving cash management efficiency with cash recycling;
  • new business applications for intelligent cash deposit machines in the retail industry;
  • branch transformation with video teller technology to improve efficiency and brand image; and
  • cash processing and cash management procedures and the challenges of cash sorting and anti-counterfeiting.
