GRG lands contract for largest cash recycler network in Vietnam

In accordance with a recently signed contract, Vietnam's DongA Joint Stock Commercial Bank will purchase 250 units of the GRG H68N Series cash recycler from GRGBanking. The bank called the deal "the biggest ever cash recycling ATM order in Vietnam." 

A signing ceremony took place at GRG headquarters.

Tran Phuong Binh, CEO of DongA Bank, and Mark Yip, managing director of GRGBanking, formalized the contract at GRG headquarters in Guangzhou, China, a news release from GRG said. 

The new units will be deployed by 2014 and will make DongA Bank the country's largest cash recycler network. The FI is also notable as the only Vietnam bank to deploy the "gold ATM," which processes transactions in gold.

"DongA Bank is always looking for the latest ATM technology for applying to [the] Vietnamese market," said Binh. "Cash recycling is one of our ATM strategies in 2013 and the coming years." 

With its new cash recyclers, DongA Bank will deploy GRG serial number tracking technology, SeNT. Using this open platform solution, DongA Bank will be able to track the serial number of each processed note together with customer's ID. This provides effective proof in the event of a customer dispute or criminal activity. By 2014 DongA expects to be able to provide printed customers receipts listing serial numbers for all banknotes in a transaction.
