Green Dot completes PCI audit

MONROVIA, Calif. - Green Dot Corp., a provider of retailer-sold prepaid cards, announced Sept. 29  its successful completion of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard audit.

The audit included requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture and software design.

The security standard, implemented in 2004, was designed to help organizations protect customer account data. It has since been adopted by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover.
